**Dehradun, Uttarakhand:** A tragic car accident in Dehradun early Tuesday morning has claimed the lives of six college students, with a seventh critically injured. The fatal collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. at ONGC Chowk when the students’ Innova car rear-ended a truck. The impact was so severe that the car was reduced to a mangled wreck, and some occupants were reportedly decapitated. Six students died at the scene, identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). The seventh passenger, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
A video obtained by India Today TV shows the group of young men and women partying earlier that evening, consuming what appears to be alcoholic beverages. While police have not confirmed if the students were intoxicated, the video has fueled speculation about alcohol’s role in the crash. CCTV footage from the area reportedly shows the students’ car traveling at excessive speeds. Police are investigating if a BMW was racing the Innova prior to the collision.
