Fri Nov 15 04:44:48 IST 2024: ## Alwar Celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti with Religious Programs and Festive Spirit
**Alwar:** The city of Alwar will celebrate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) on Friday with religious programs and festivities. Gurdwaras across the city will be adorned with colorful lights and will host special prayer services (Kirtan Darbar) and community meals (Langar).
According to Supreet Singh, spokesperson for the District Gurmat Prachar Committee, the Langar will begin at 1 pm on Friday. Evening prayers will be held from 7 pm to 9:30 pm, followed by a special Langar of milk and jalebi and a fireworks display.
The Mala Kheda Gate Gurdwara will also observe the occasion with a special program. Sardar Tara Singh Advocate, the head of the Gurdwara, informed that the Akhand Path (continuous recitation of holy scriptures) that began on November 13th will conclude on Friday morning at 10 am. Kirtan Darbar will follow from 10 am to 2 pm. The Gurdwara will also serve a Langar throughout the day.
Other Gurdwaras in the city, including those located in Shivaji Park, Daoudpur, and Guru Nanak Colony, will also host special prayer services to mark the occasion.
