**ERODE, November 14, 2024:** The gram sabha meetings in Erode district, initially scheduled for Local Governance Day on November 1st, have been postponed to November 23rd. The decision, announced by Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara, was attributed to administrative reasons. The meetings will be held at 11 am in all village panchayats, with the exact locations to be announced by the respective panchayats.
During the meetings, the Collector has urged the panchayats to recognize and honor workers who have performed well, as well as effective women’s self-help groups. He has also encouraged discussions on precautionary measures for the Northeast monsoon and the implementation of various schemes.
