The team designated him for return on Monday, opening a 21-day practice window and giving Lloyd a chance to rejoin the active roster before Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Lloyd, a third-round pick out of USC, suffered an ankle injury in Week 2 and has been sidelined since. While he only had a limited role in his first game, his explosive running style and receiving potential make him a valuable asset.
