**Raipur, India:** An IndiGo flight from Nagpur to Kolkata made an emergency landing at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat that later proved to be a hoax.
The flight, carrying 187 passengers and six crew members, landed shortly after 9 am following a report from a passenger claiming the presence of a bomb onboard. The Air Traffic Control was alerted and the flight was diverted to Raipur.
Upon landing, the aircraft was immediately taken to an isolation bay for security checks. A police team and bomb squad were deployed, and all passengers were deboarded for thorough inspections.
After a complete inspection, the bomb threat was determined to be false. The passenger who reported the threat was detained and is currently being questioned by authorities.
The flight finally departed for Kolkata around 12 noon. This incident follows a similar bomb threat made on October 24 against an Alliance Air flight from Kolkata to Bilaspur, which also turned out to be a hoax.
