Wed Nov 13 01:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Suns Center Nurkic Out For Game Against Jazz Due To Ankle Soreness

**PHOENIX, AZ -** Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic will miss tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz due to left ankle soreness, confirming reports from The Arizona Republic’s Duane Rankin. This marks the first game Nurkic will miss this season.

Nurkic, acquired via trade from the Portland Trail Blazers last season, has been a key contributor to the Suns’ early success. Despite a rough start to the season, he recently turned things around with four consecutive games with 10+ rebounds, including three double-doubles.

However, the ankle injury forced him to leave Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings early. Mason Plumlee will start in his place, while Ryan Dunn will step in for the injured Kevin Durant.

The Suns are currently 8-2 on the season, while the struggling Jazz are 2-7, including a dismal 0-4 record at home. Despite the absence of Nurkic and Durant, ESPN’s analytics still favor the Suns with a 69% chance of winning.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm Phoenix time.
