Wed Nov 13 01:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Magic End Losing Streak, Cruise Past Injury-Ridden Pelicans

**ORLANDO, Fla.** – The Orlando Magic snapped a five-game losing streak with a dominant 115-88 victory over the injury-depleted New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. Franz Wagner led the Magic with 27 points, while Mo Wagner added 17.

The Pelicans, missing six of their top eight scorers including star forward Zion Williamson, struggled to keep pace with the Magic. Brandon Boston Jr. led the way with 26 points for New Orleans, while Jose Alvarado contributed 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

The Magic took control early, building a 24-point lead in the first half. Despite a late run by the Pelicans, Orlando held on for the comfortable win. The Magic’s hot shooting and strong defense proved too much for the depleted New Orleans squad.

“We needed this win,” said Magic coach Jamahl Mosley. “It was important to get back on track after that tough stretch.”

The Pelicans return home to face the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night. The Magic host the Washington Wizards on Sunday.
