**Chennai, November 12, 2024:** Stella Maris College has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to launch a comprehensive skilling program for its arts and science students.
This initiative, dubbed “Campus to Corporate,” aims to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world by equipping 1,000 students with crucial skills needed to thrive in the modern workplace.
Divya Abhishek, chairperson of FICCI FLO (the women’s wing of FICCI), emphasized the program’s objective: “We aim to provide value-added skills, making these students corporate-ready. As a responsible business body, we believe in empowering the future workforce.”
The program will focus on practical skills like resume building, interview techniques, and stress management. The curriculum was designed in collaboration with an independent knowledge partner, following an analysis of the transition challenges faced by graduates.
College Principal Sr. Stella Mary FMM highlighted the collaborative effort: “Discussions with industry leaders revealed the need for targeted skills development. We’re confident this program will equip our students with the tools they need to succeed in their chosen careers.”
The “Campus to Corporate” program comprises six modules, each tailored to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills for a seamless transition from the classroom to the corporate world.
