**Dehradun, Uttarakhand:** A tragic road accident in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, claimed the lives of six people and left one critically injured. The accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning when an Innova car collided with a container truck near ONGC Chowk.
According to police reports, the Innova car was traveling towards Cantt from Ballupur when it collided with the container truck. The impact was so severe that the car was flung a considerable distance, leaving it mangled beyond recognition.
The deceased individuals, including the driver, were all occupants of the Innova. One of the passengers sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
The driver of the container truck has been apprehended by the Cantt Police Station. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, but police suspect negligence on behalf of one or both drivers might have played a role.
