**Dehradun, Uttarakhand:** A horrifying road accident early Tuesday morning near ONGC Chowk in Dehradun claimed the lives of six young individuals, all students. The accident occurred at around 2 am when an Innova car, traveling at a high speed, collided with a container truck. The impact was so forceful that the car veered off the road and slammed into a tree.

According to Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh, the container truck was approaching from the direction of Kishan Nagar Chowk while the Innova car was coming from Ballupur Chowki. The driver of the car, attempting to overtake the truck, lost control due to excessive speed and rammed into the back of the truck.

“The impact was devastating,” SSP Singh stated, describing the scene. “The car was reduced to mangled metal, strewn across the road, while six of the seven occupants tragically perished. Two of the victims were found decapitated, while a young woman suffered severe facial burns.”

He added that the driver of the Innova car, identified as Siddesh Aggarwal (25), sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Indresh Hospital.

* Atul Aggarwal (24), resident of Kalidas Road, Dehradun
* Kamakshi (20), resident of Kawali Road, Dehradun

This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of speeding and reckless driving. The police are urging drivers to prioritize safety on the roads and adhere to speed limits.
