**Erode, Tamil Nadu – November 12, 2024:** A bomb threat targeting Hotel Rathna Residency near Erode’s bus stand prompted a major security operation on Tuesday evening. The hotel received an email around 7 p.m. warning of a bomb set to detonate at 10 p.m.
Acting swiftly, Erode North police, accompanied by a bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and a sniffer dog, launched a thorough search of the hotel premises. All guests and staff were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Despite an extensive search lasting into the night, no explosives were found.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the origin of the threat and identify the sender of the email.
