Dr. Appu Zacharias George, consultant anaesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist, emphasized the importance of medical management and radiofrequency ablation in treating the condition. “Trigeminal neuralgia is considered one of the most painful disorders in medicine, often leading to depression,” said Dr. George. “Radiofrequency ablation under fluoroscopy can effectively treat this condition.”

He noted that many patients undergo dental treatment and even MRIs before receiving a correct diagnosis.
