
Mon Nov 11 21:40:00 UTC 2024: ## JMM Unveils Manifesto for Jharkhand Assembly Elections, Promises 33% Reservation for Women
**Ranchi, November 12, 2024:** The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has released its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections, promising a 33% reservation for women in all state government jobs. The manifesto, launched by party chief Shibu Soren, focuses on nine key areas including agriculture, education, and the rights of residents.
The release of the manifesto coincides with the last day of campaigning for the first phase of polling in the state.
“Our manifesto promises 33% reservation for women in all state government jobs,” said JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya. “It focuses on nine key points.”
The manifesto includes a number of other promises, including:
* **Financial Assistance:** Loans of up to ₹5 crore will be provided to MSME entrepreneurs under the Credit Guarantee Scheme. Loans for small and medium-level traders will be waived.
* **Sports Development:** Sports centres of excellence will be established in all divisions, along with a dedicated sports university in the state.
* **Agriculture Support:** Agricultural loans will be provided at zero per cent interest rate. The minimum wage for MGNREGA workers will be increased to ₹350 per day, with support from the state fund.
* **Education Initiatives:** The JMM promises to set up 500 CM Schools of Excellence at the block level, 4,500 model schools at the panchayat level, and 100 nursing colleges.
The first phase of polling in the Jharkhand Assembly elections will take place on November 13, covering 43 out of 81 seats. The second and final phase of polling will occur on November 20, with results expected on November 23.
