Mon Nov 11 23:08:36 UTC 2024: ## Water Release from Meja Dam to Begin in Bhilwara
**Bhilwara:** The left main canal of the Meja Dam will be filled with water for irrigation purposes on Monday evening at 5 PM, according to the Water Resources Department. This will benefit the command area of Mandl and Baneda tehsil.
The canal will be operational from January 5th to February 14th, 2025, in the second phase, as decided in a meeting chaired by the Collector on November 6th.
The right main canal, which passes through the city, will receive water on November 13th. It will be operational until December 22nd and will be reactivated in the second phase from January 7th to February 17th, 2025.
Meanwhile, Balmukund Upadhyay, the supervisor of the Water Resources Department, has ordered the removal of makeshift shelters built near the canal in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar, considering the safety of residents living there.
