Mon Nov 11 11:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Fema Supervisor Fired for Allegedly Ordering Staff to Skip Trump Supporter Homes
**Washington D.C.** – A Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) supervisor has been fired after allegedly instructing staff to bypass homes displaying Donald Trump signs while surveying hurricane damage in Florida. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for investigation.
Fema Director Deanne Criswell condemned the supervisor’s actions, calling them “reprehensible” and stating that the agency is dedicated to helping everyone in times of disaster.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, however, described the situation as “targeted discrimination” and announced an investigation by the state’s Division of Emergency Management. According to reports, Fema staff were instructed to skip properties with Trump signs while assessing damage from Hurricane Milton last month.
“Trump sign no entry per leadership,” read internal messages, according to the Daily Wire. A whistleblower told the outlet, “When we got there we were told to discriminate against people. It’s almost unbelievable to think that somebody in the federal government would think that’s okay.”
In response to the controversy, Congressman James Comer has called for Criswell to appear before the House Oversight Committee hearing on November 19th. Senator Josh Hawley (Missouri) has also sent a letter demanding prosecution for those involved.
The incident comes after Florida was battered by two major hurricanes in recent months. Hurricane Milton, which left millions of homes and businesses without power, killed at least 24 people. Hurricane Helene, which struck two weeks prior, became the deadliest mainland US storm since Katrina, causing over 200 deaths.
This incident raises serious questions about political bias within federal agencies and highlights the need for accountability and transparency in disaster relief efforts.
