Mon Nov 11 13:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Alcaraz Prepares for Nitto ATP Finals Debut with Focused Training

**Turin, Italy** – World number one Carlos Alcaraz completed his final training session before his opening match at the Nitto ATP Finals on Sunday, putting the finishing touches on his preparations for a clash against Casper Ruud on Monday.

The Spanish star, aiming to add to his already impressive season which includes two Grand Slam titles, has been working on fine-tuning his game, particularly focusing on his serve. Alcaraz has been honing his serving accuracy and direction, aiming at cones strategically placed across the court, in an effort to excel on the fast indoor hardcourt surface in Turin.

Having already secured two Grand Slam titles and an Olympic silver medal, Alcaraz is eager to conquer the ATP Finals, a feat he narrowly missed last year.

“We know the challenge we face. This indoor surface favors serving and returning,” said Alcaraz. “I’ve been working hard to enhance my game and be even more competitive on this court.”

The Spaniard, known for his exceptional athleticism, has even been experimenting with a fuchsia nasal strip to optimize his breathing, though he opted to go without it during Sunday’s training session.

He will now focus on rest, recovery, and strategizing for his opening match against Ruud in the Group John Newcombe. The match is set to kick off the Nitto ATP Finals on Monday, followed by Alexander Zverev’s showdown against Andrey Rublev.
