Maruti Suzuki has announced the pricing of the new-generation Dzire in India, with the base variant starting at Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The popular sub-four-metre sedan, now in its latest avatar, is available with both petrol and CNG powertrain options.

The 2024 Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z Series petrol engine, generating 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and an AMT unit. The CNG version, while delivering a lower output of 69bhp and 102Nm, boasts a claimed mileage of 33.73 km/kg.

Customers can choose from seven vibrant colour options: Gallant Red, Alluring Blue, Nutmeg Brown, Bluish Black, Arctic White, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver. The new Dzire is offered in four variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.

Features across the range include three-point seatbelts for all occupants, 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, chrome finished front grille, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, seven-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a remote control app for entertainment, a rear centre armrest with cup holders, USB Type-A charging port on the centre console, USB Type-A and Type-C fast charging ports for the second row, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, engine start-stop button with smart key, automatic headlamps with follow-me-home function. The top-end ZXi+ variant also gets 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system.

The new Maruti Dzire is expected to further solidify its position in the competitive sub-four-metre sedan segment, thanks to its updated features, styling, and powertrain options.
