Sat Nov 09 17:12:18 UTC 2024: ## YSRCP MLC Condemns Coalition Government, Calls for Law and Order Action
**Visakhapatnam, November 9, 2024:** Varudu Kalyani, the president of the YSRCP women’s wing and MLC, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, accusing them of targeting social media activists while ignoring serious crimes against women.
Kalyani, in a statement, questioned the government’s priorities, stating, “Whether we live in Andhra Pradesh or Afghanistan where the Taliban rules?” She pointed out that despite rising incidents of atrocities against girls and a breakdown in law and order, the government is prioritizing targeting social media activists associated with her party.
She further alleged hypocrisy in the government’s actions, claiming that no cases were filed against TDP leader Nara Lokesh for insulting Pawan Kalyan’s mother, while social media activists affiliated with the YSRCP are facing legal action. Similarly, she questioned why no action was taken against N. Chandrababu Naidu when the TDP social media wing made abusive comments against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Kalyani’s statement comes amidst a heated political climate in Andhra Pradesh, with the YSRCP and the coalition government engaged in a bitter power struggle.
