**LONDON** – Queen Camilla will miss this weekend’s Remembrance Day events due to a chest infection, Buckingham Palace announced on Saturday. The 77-year-old Queen, who is the wife of King Charles, was advised by doctors to rest following the diagnosis.
The Queen will miss the annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall and the main Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial, which marks the end of World War One. While she will not be in attendance, the Queen will be marking the occasion privately at home.
Princess Kate, who is recovering from cancer treatment, will attend the Remembrance events alongside her husband Prince William, King Charles, and other members of the royal family. The Princess of Wales, who recently completed chemotherapy, has been gradually returning to public engagements.
King Charles, who is also undergoing cancer treatment, recently visited Australia and Samoa.
The Queen is expected to return to public duties early next week.
