**BROOKINGS, SD** – The South Dakota State women’s volleyball team is set to host two Summit League rivals this weekend, aiming to extend their undefeated season.
The Jackrabbits, currently boasting a 22-0 record and an 11-0 mark in conference play, will face St. Thomas on Thursday and North Dakota State on Saturday at First Bank & Trust Arena. This winning streak marks a new program record for the Dan Georgalas era, surpassing the previous high of 19 wins in 2021. SDSU is also on track for their best season since 2007, when they achieved 25 wins.
Coach Georgalas stresses the importance of remaining focused despite their dominant position. He encourages his team to keep their eyes on the road ahead and not dwell on past successes.
St. Thomas, experiencing their most successful season since joining Division I, will enter the match with a 14-10 overall record and a 6-6 Summit League record. Meanwhile, North Dakota State comes in at 10-11 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
With two victories this week, SDSU could reach 13 wins in the Summit League season for only the second time in program history. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Jackrabbits as they chase a historic season.
