Sat Nov 09 05:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Kraken Reunite with Former Star Sprong in Search of Offense

**Seattle, WA** – The Seattle Kraken have made a move to bolster their struggling offense, reacquiring forward Daniel Sprong from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for future considerations. The Dutch winger returns to a team he spent two seasons with, including a standout 2022-23 season where he reached a career-high 21 goals and helped the Kraken reach the playoffs.

Sprong’s arrival could provide a much-needed boost to a Kraken team that has struggled to find the back of the net early in the season. Only four players – Jared McCann, Jordan Eberle, Brandon Montour, and Eeli Tolvanen – have scored half of the team’s 40 goals in 14 games. The team currently sits 21st in the league with a paltry 2.79 goals per game and are five points out of a playoff spot.

The Kraken, who parted ways with coach Dave Hakstol after missing the playoffs last season, are hoping Sprong’s return will spark a resurgence in their offensive production. The 26-year-old winger brings a proven track record of scoring goals and provides an exciting new weapon for head coach Dan Bylsma as the team aims to climb back into playoff contention.
