**Ara, October 28, 2023** – Home Guard aspirants in Ara, Bihar, are continuing their indefinite dharna for the 20th consecutive day, demanding the fulfillment of their four-point charter of demands. The protesters, who began their sit-in on October 14th, are disappointed by the lack of response from the government and district administration.
Despite the ongoing protests, including through the Diwali and Chhath festivals, the aspirants have yet to receive any assurance or concrete action from the authorities. The protesters maintain that their demands are legitimate and they are determined to stay on the dharna until their demands are met.
“We will fight till the end,” said one of the protesting aspirants. “We will not leave this dharna until our demands are met.”
The protesters have appealed to the government to take immediate action and address their concerns.
