Fri Nov 08 01:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Blues Host Utah in Historic Matchup, Aim for Third Straight Win
**St. Louis, MO** – The St. Louis Blues will face a new opponent on Thursday, November 7th, as they welcome the Utah Hockey Club to the Enterprise Center for the first time in franchise history. The game, scheduled for 7 PM CT, will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network and 101 ESPN.
The Blues (7-6-0), riding a two-game winning streak, are looking to continue their momentum against the expansion Utah team. Goaltender Jordan Binnington, who moved to second all-time in Blues franchise history for wins with 149 after Tuesday’s victory, is just three wins away from claiming the top spot.
Offensively, the Blues are getting contributions from a variety of players. Oskar Sundqvist and Alexey Toropchenko scored their first goals of the season against Tampa Bay, while Jordan Kyrou notched his fourth goal and game-winner.
“We just have to grind wins out right now and get good goaltending, which we are,” said captain Brayden Schenn, who is on a 177-game consecutive streak. “Everyone is stepping up right now and everyone’s filling the void every single night, and if we keep playing like that, then you get guys back, you set yourself up in a good spot.”
The Utah Hockey Club (5-5-3) arrives in St. Louis looking to snap a two-game losing streak and end their five-game road losing skid. The team, relocated from Arizona this year, is in its inaugural season and has made a splash with acquisitions like two-time Stanley Cup champion Mikhail Sergachev.
Fans will also be greeted by the return of former Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo, who will be playing his first game against his former team since being traded to Utah. Bortuzzo, who won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019, will be honored with a tribute video during the game.
The matchup will also feature a local rivalry, as Utah forward Clayton Keller, a St. Louis native, will face his hometown team. Keller leads the Utah team in points with 12 (6 goals, 6 assists) this season.
This first-ever meeting between the Blues and the Utah Hockey Club promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the NHL’s newest team and offering a chance for the Blues to further solidify their position in the standings.
