**Chennai, November 8, 2024:** The Guduvanchery Prohibition Enforcement Wing of the Tambaram City Police apprehended a 49-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh on Friday, seizing 22 kg of ganja from him. The suspect, identified as Gemmeli Kosumo of Pethabalu village, Aluri Seetharama Raju district, allegedly sourced the cannabis from Araku Valley and supplied it to peddlers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Kosumo boarded a train at Anangapalli Station but disembarked at Perambur to avoid detection at Chennai Central railway station. However, police tracked him down and arrested him at the Urapakkam railway station.

Further investigation into the ganja trafficking ring is underway.
