Sources within the BCCI confirmed their stance, citing concerns over diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan. The ICC is expected to announce the tournament schedule by November 11th.
Last year, India opted to play their Asia Cup matches in Sri Lanka due to similar concerns about traveling to Pakistan. Dubai has proven to be a successful venue for high-profile cricket tournaments, and the ICC’s headquarters are located there.
The PCB, however, is open to adjusting the Champions Trophy schedule to accommodate India’s participation, suggesting that Dubai or Sharjah could host their matches.
