Fri Nov 08 07:45:24 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan Bowl Out Australia for 163 in Second ODI

**Adelaide, Australia:** Pakistan dominated the second ODI against Australia, bowling them out for a paltry 163 runs at the Adelaide Oval. The win gives Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The hero of the day was Haris Rauf, who produced a brilliant spell of fast bowling, taking a five-wicket haul for the second time in ODIs. Rauf’s incredible figures of 5-29 were the catalyst behind Australia’s collapse.

Pakistan’s pace attack exploited the pace and bounce offered by the Adelaide pitch. Shaheen Afridi also shone with 3-26, providing excellent support to Rauf. While Naseem Shah was unlucky to miss out on a few wickets.

Australia’s innings started promisingly, with Matthew Short and Jake Fraser-McGurk hitting boundaries freely. However, Afridi and Naseem quickly stemmed the flow of runs and began to take wickets.

Steve Smith was the only Australian batter to reach the 20s, scoring 35. Despite a few promising partnerships, Australia never recovered from their early slump, with Rauf consistently picking up wickets in his second spell.

The victory was made even sweeter for Pakistan by the performance of their wicket-keeper, Rizwan, who took a remarkable six catches, just shy of the world record.

The 163-run total is well under-par, but with their own formidable pace attack, Australia remain hopeful of making a comeback in the series. The third and final ODI takes place on Wednesday.
