Fri Nov 08 15:31:24 UTC 2024: ## Yadav Accuses Adityanath of “Negative Talk” as By-elections Heat Up

**Lucknow, November 8, 2024:** Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday launched a scathing attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accusing him of engaging in “negative talk” out of fear. Yadav claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is losing the ongoing by-elections and that the party’s inability to highlight its achievements is driving them to criticize others.

“The biggest identity of a scared person is his negative talk. Those who have no achievements of their own talk about others,” Yadav said on social media platform X, seemingly referring to Adityanath’s recent election speeches. He further claimed that the BJP is losing nine out of nine seats in the by-elections.

Yadav also took aim at the BJP government’s handling of the economy, citing the eighth anniversary of demonetization as a prime example of their failures. “In the history of Indian economy, an entire chapter in the name of demonetisation will be printed only in black. Today, just a day before the 8th anniversary of demonetisation, yesterday the rupee reached its weakest position against the dollar. The public is asking whether this happened due to the failure of demonetisation or due to the negative policies of the BJP. The BJP has turned the economy into a disaster,” he alleged.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Adityanath addressed election rallies in Kundarki, Meerapur, and Ghaziabad Assembly seats, accusing the SP of “hooliganism” and urging voters to send a message that parties of “goons and rioters” have no place in politics.

With the by-elections heating up, the verbal sparring between the SP and BJP leaders is expected to intensify in the coming days.
