Wed Nov 06 05:18:48 UTC 2024: ## Neymar Reassures Fans After Injury Scare in Champions League

**RIYADH, Saudi Arabia** – Despite being forced to leave Monday’s Asian Champions League Elite match due to an injury, Brazilian superstar Neymar has reassured fans that he believes the issue is nothing more than a strong cramp.

The Al-Hilal forward, who limped off 30 minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Esteghlal, explained that doctors had warned him of potential muscle issues following his return from a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

“It felt like a cramp, only very strong!” Neymar posted on Instagram. “I’m going to have some tests and I hope it’s nothing too serious. It’s normal for this to happen after a year, the doctors had already warned me, so I have to be careful and play more minutes.”

Neymar, who joined Al-Hilal from Paris St Germain for a reported fee of 90 million euros last August, has only played seven games since his move to Saudi Arabia.

The 32-year-old star returned to action just two weeks ago after a year-long absence following the ACL injury sustained during a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in October 2023.

While Neymar’s injury will be monitored closely, his optimistic outlook suggests that the issue may not be as serious as initially feared.
