**Mysuru, November 6, 2024:** Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was questioned by the Lokayukta police on Wednesday in connection with an alleged irregularity in the allotment of sites by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The questioning, which lasted nearly two hours, focused on his role in the case, which also involves his wife Parvathi and two others.

The Lokayukta police had previously questioned Parvathi, who is accused number 2, as well as Mallikarjunaswamy, Siddaramaiah’s brother-in-law, and Devaraju, who sold land to Mallikarjunaswamy.

While Siddaramaiah stated that he has not been asked to return for further questioning, sources within the Lokayukta police indicate that further interrogation may be required if inconsistencies arise in the replies given by the various accused.

The Lokayukta police are confident of completing the investigation by the December 24 deadline set by the court.

Siddaramaiah reportedly informed the Lokayukta sleuths to ask questions as per their procedure without extending any preferential treatment. His answers were recorded and subsequently presented to him for accuracy.
