**Kolkata, India:** The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has finally released the admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, much to the relief of anxious students. The admit cards, which were initially scheduled to be released at 4 PM today, were delayed by almost 2-3 hours, causing widespread frustration among test-takers. However, IIM Calcutta ultimately released the admit cards, restoring calm amongst the aspiring MBA candidates.

Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download their admit cards from the official website iimcat.ac.in. The CAT exam is scheduled to be held on November 24th in 170 cities across India.

The exam will consist of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants). Candidates will be given 120 minutes to attempt the questions.

To download the admit card, students need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the official IIM Calcutta website: iimcat.ac.in
2. Click on the ‘Login’ tab on the homepage.
3. Enter your credentials (user ID and password) and click on ‘Submit’.
4. Click on the ‘Admit Card’ link on the dashboard.
5. Download and print your admit card.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Supreme Court of India upheld the validity of the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Act, 2004, which regulates education in madrasas. However, the court struck down provisions that allowed the Madarsa Board to award higher degrees. The court held that the Act falls within the state’s legislative powers and protects the interests of the minority community.
