Tue Nov 05 00:33:46 UTC 2024: ## Verstappen on the Verge of Historic Fourth Title After Dominant Brazil Win

**Sao Paulo, Brazil -** Max Verstappen is on the cusp of making history, poised to become the first driver to win four consecutive Formula 1 championships after a dominant victory at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. The Dutch driver’s eighth win of the season extended his lead to a staggering 62 points over Lando Norris, leaving just three races remaining.

With a maximum of 26 points available per race, Verstappen is now just one race away from securing the title. If he finishes ahead of Norris in the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix, the championship will be his. Norris needs to outscore Verstappen by at least three points in Las Vegas to keep the championship alive heading into Qatar.

The remaining races will be a three-week triple header, taking place in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. Verstappen’s current lead means he can even finish outside the top six in the remaining races and still secure the championship.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be so close to winning the championship again,” said Verstappen. “The team has been incredible this year, and I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

The only scenario where Norris could potentially snatch the championship is if Verstappen fails to finish in Las Vegas and both races in Qatar, while Norris wins both races, the sprint race, and sets the fastest lap in each.

Despite the seemingly insurmountable task ahead, Norris remains optimistic. “There are still points to be won, and I’m going to keep pushing until the very end,” said the McLaren driver.

The championship battle is heating up, but with Verstappen’s current dominance, the Dutchman is poised to etch his name in the history books as a four-time champion.
