With the New York Giants struggling at 2-7, speculation is swirling around potential trades of veteran players, particularly outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari and receiver Darius Slayton, both in the final year of their contracts.
Ojulari, despite a history of injuries, has shown promise with 22 career sacks in 44 games. His trade value, however, seems to be diminishing as other teams have found alternative options. The Cleveland Browns traded edge rusher Za’Darius Smith to the Detroit Lions, taking one potential trade partner off the table. While the Falcons remain a possibility, GM Joe Schoen is reportedly seeking more than a fifth- or sixth-round pick for the talented 24-year-old.
Meanwhile, Darius Slayton’s status is unclear after being placed in concussion protocol. Although his injury could complicate any potential trade, the Giants have reportedly shown less interest in moving him, considering his importance to the offense.
The trade deadline is Tuesday, November 5th at 4 PM ET. The Giants are expected to be active in the market, with Ojulari being the most likely player to be moved.
