Tue Nov 05 13:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Record-Breaking Early Voting in Oklahoma Fuels Excitement for November Election
Oklahoma has seen a surge in voter participation with a record-breaking number of early votes cast before the November 5th election.
The Oklahoma State Election Board reported that 292,455 Oklahomans voted in person during the early voting period, which ended on Saturday, shattering the previous record set in 2020. The high turnout led to hours-long waits at polling places throughout the week.
Mail-in absentee voting also saw a significant increase, with over 100,000 ballots received as of Saturday afternoon.
The surge in early voting points to a highly engaged electorate in Oklahoma. With Election Day just around the corner, all eyes are now on the final turnout and the results of the upcoming election.
Voters can still cast their ballots on Election Day, November 5th, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. For information on polling locations, sample ballots, and candidate information, visit the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website.
