The US Presidential Election voting officially commenced at 5:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) on November 3rd, 2020. However, due to the varying time zones across the country, the opening and closing times of polling stations differ significantly. While some states began voting early in the evening, others will continue to accept ballots until late into the night and even into the early morning hours of November 4th. This staggered voting schedule is a result of the vast geographical expanse of the United States and the need to accommodate the diverse time zones across the country.
