Mon Nov 04 05:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Telangana TET 2024 Notification to be Released on Monday

**Hyderabad, October 27, 2023:** The Telangana State Government is set to release the notification for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 on Monday, October 30th. The School Education Department has finalized the arrangements for issuing the notification.

The Telangana Government had previously announced its intention to conduct TET twice a year, with the first test held from May 20th to June 2nd, 2023. The notification for the second TET is scheduled for November 2023, with the exams slated for January 2024.

A total of 2.35 lakh candidates appeared for the first TET in May, out of which 1.09 lakh qualified. With the recent completion of the DSC examination, the number of candidates for the upcoming TET is expected to be lower.

The TET will be conducted online, requiring testing centers to be available for a week to ten days. The exact dates for the examination will depend on the availability of computer testing centers across the state. The authorities are considering conducting the examination before or after Sankranti, depending on the availability of centers.

Candidates who have completed their D.Ed for Paper-1 and B.Ed for Paper-2 are eligible to appear for the TET. In-service teachers will also be participating in large numbers as TET qualification is mandatory for promotion to School Assistant.

This will be the tenth time TET is being conducted in Telangana since its implementation. The state has conducted six TETs since its formation, while three were conducted during the united Andhra Pradesh era. The current government is conducting the exam twice in a year.
