**New York:** The Literary Association of North America (LANA) is hosting its annual literary festival in New York City from November 1st to 3rd. The festival, held in the city’s literary hub, will bring together Malayalam literature enthusiasts from across America and Canada.

The event features a diverse program including discussions, presentations, and performances. Prominent Malayalam writer E. Santosh Kumar will be a guest of honor, while other notable participants include Dr. Chandrahassan, Dr. J. Devika, Dr. Nishi Leela George, and Stalina.

The festival kicks off with an inauguration ceremony on November 1st at 6 PM, followed by a poetry session where attendees can share their own works. The evening will also include discussions on cinema and visual art trends, led by actor and director Dr. Chandradasan.

Day two features a tribute to former LANA members M.S.T. Namboothiri, Abraham Thekke Muri, and Reeni Mambalam. This will be followed by a panel discussion on poetry, gender equality, and translation led by Dr. J. Devika.

The festival will continue with a range of engaging discussions on contemporary Malayalam short stories, American Malayalam stories, the essence of storytelling, and the challenges of creative writing. Topics like artificial intelligence and its potential for writing, travel and literature, the future of Malayalam writing in America, and political interventions in writing will also be explored.

The festival will conclude with an award ceremony honoring eight senior members of LANA. The evening will also feature book launches and a humorous play presented by Bharatakala & K.L.S Dallas.

The event is organized by the New York Regional Committee, led by LANA President Shankar Mana, along with Manohar Thomas (Chairman), J. Mathews (Vice Chair), Jacob John (General Convener), Samsi Kodumon (Treasurer), Nirmala Joseph, and Santosh Pala.
