**Mumbai, November 1, 2024** – The Indian stock market opened on a positive note for the one-hour special Muhurat Trading session on Friday, marking the beginning of Samvat 2081. BSE Sensex surged by 634.69 points to open at 80,023.75, while NSE Nifty gained 97.4 points, breaching the 24,300 mark. This positive start comes after a two-day decline in the market due to concerns over IT stocks and foreign fund outflows.

The Muhurat Trading session, which took place from 6 pm to 7 pm, saw investors’ wealth rise by ₹3.39 lakh crore. The BSE’s total market capitalization jumped from ₹4,44,71,429.92 crore on October 31 to ₹4,48,10,607.55 crore by the end of the special session.
