Sat Nov 02 04:12:05 UTC 2024: ## Mumbai Police Initiate Extradition Process for Anmol Bishnoi, Wanted in Salman Khan Firing Case

**Mumbai, India -** The Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police has launched the extradition process to bring back Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, from the United States. Anmol is a key suspect in the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in April.

A special court for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) cases has issued a non-bailable warrant for his arrest. The police are currently awaiting certain court documents to finalize the extradition process and will then send a formal proposal to the central government for further action.

A red corner notice has been issued for Anmol’s search abroad, indicating his alleged presence in the US, after he was previously believed to be in Canada. The National Investigation Agency (NIA), India’s anti-terror agency, had added Anmol to its most-wanted list last month, offering a reward of Rs 10 lakh for his arrest.

The Bishnoi gang, which gained notoriety after the 2022 murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala, has been linked to several high-profile crimes, including the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house. Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, and Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar are accused in the case. According to the police chargesheet, Anmol had urged the shooters to “script history” in a nine-minute speech before the incident.

The gang is also under investigation for the murder of politician Baba Siddique, a close associate of Salman Khan, last month. The Bishnoi brothers have been accused of involvement in a conspiracy to raise funds and recruit youth for terrorist activities in Delhi and other parts of India in 2022.

As authorities pursue Anmol Bishnoi, the Bishnoi gang continues to be a source of concern for law enforcement agencies in India.
