**Patna, India:** The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the results for the Head Teacher and Head Master recruitment exam on Friday. Thousands of aspiring teachers can now check their results on the commission’s official website.
A total of 36,947 candidates have been declared successful for the 37,943 Head Teacher positions. However, 996 positions remained unfilled, including 931 reserved for people with disabilities and 65 reserved for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
The commission received applications from over 115,000 candidates for the Head Teacher post, originally advertised for 40,247 positions. The number of vacancies was later revised to 37,943 after adjustments were made to the reservation quota.
The results for the Head Master recruitment have also been released. Out of 6,061 advertised positions, 5,974 candidates have been successful. One ST reserved seat and 89 seats reserved for people with disabilities remain unfilled.
The BPSC Secretary, Satya Prakash Sharma, stated that the results were declared based on the revised advertisement. Candidates can find their cut-off marks and other details on the commission’s website.
