Fri Nov 01 18:20:17 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi to Gift Chhattisgarh Two Major Healthcare Projects on Dhanteras

**Raipur:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate two major healthcare projects in Chhattisgarh on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. The projects are a super-specialty hospital in Bilaspur, known as SIMS, and a Central Institute for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) in Raipur.

The SIMS, built at a cost of INR 200 crore, will be inaugurated by PM Modi. The 100-bed CRIYN, with a cost of INR 90 crore, will be laid foundation stone for by the Prime Minister. It will be built in 24 months.

Chhattisgarh’s Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal will preside over the program, which will also be attended by the Chief Minister and other ministers.

The super-specialty hospital will initially have 4 departments operational, with the remaining 16 departments expected to start functioning in 8 months.

“The CRIYN will benefit people in the coming years, providing them with excellent health facilities,” said Jaiswal.

The Minister also responded to Congress’s allegations about the recent eye surgery complications in Dantewada. He said that the government took immediate action, shifting the patients to Raipur. Jaiswal blamed the previous Congress government for procuring sub-standard medicines, leading to the unfortunate situation. He further said that a team has been dispatched to Dantewada to investigate the matter and appropriate action will be taken based on the report.

“We are providing the victims with high-quality treatment,” Jaiswal said, adding that the Congress should refrain from politicizing the issue.
