**Mumbai, India:** Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, and revealed her name as Dua Padukone Singh. The couple shared the news and a picture of their daughter on Instagram, announcing her arrival on September 8, 2024.
“Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह ‘Dua’: meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer,” the caption read.
The couple, who have been married since 2018, announced Deepika’s pregnancy in February. Rumors of her pregnancy began circulating earlier this year when she was spotted covering her midsection at the 77th BAFTA awards.
The news of the baby’s arrival was met with joy and congratulations from fellow Bollywood stars, including Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Shraddha Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon.
Deepika and Ranveer, known for their on-screen chemistry in films like Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and 83, will next be seen together in a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn.
