**Kochi, October 30, 2024:** Renowned Malayalam film editor Nishad Yusuf (43) was found dead in his flat in Panampally Nagar, Kochi. He was known for his work on several popular films including “Chaaver,” “Unda,” “Saudi Vellakka,” “Operation Java,” and “Thallumaala.” Yusuf, a native of Harippad, won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2022 for his work on “Thallumaala.” He was also the editor for upcoming films “Bassoora” starring Mammootty and “Kanguva” starring Surya.
Initial investigations suggest that the death was a suicide. Police have recovered the body and transported it to the General Hospital.
