**Thiruvananthapuram:** The Kerala government will be honoring the Indian Hockey team’s bronze medalist goalkeeper, **P.R. Sreejesh**, on Wednesday. The event, scheduled for 4 pm at the Vellayambalam Jimmy George Indoor Stadium, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Sreejesh will be awarded the ₹2 crore prize announced by the government. Minister V. Abdurahman will preside over the function.
Other Kerala athletes who participated in the Olympics – **Mohammed Anas, H.S. Prannoy, V. Muhammed Ajmal, and Abdulla Abubacker**, along with athletics chief coach **P. Radhakrishnan Nair**, will each receive ₹5 lakh.
The ceremony will also witness the distribution of appointment letters to **P.U. Chitra, Mohammed Anas, V.K. Vismaya, V. Neena, and Kunjumohmed**, who won medals at the Asian Games. They will be appointed as Assistant Sports Organizers in the General Education Department. The letters will be handed over by Minister V. Sivankutty.
