**Amaravati, October 28, 2024:** The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has given the green light for promotions of municipal teachers. This decision comes after recent discussions with various teacher associations where a consensus was reached.
The Director of School Education, V. Vijaya Rama Raju, announced the schedule for the promotion process on Monday. The promotions will cover positions from SGT to School Assistant, and from School Assistant to Grade-2 HM posts.
The Municipal Teachers’ Federation President, Ramakrishna, has requested a 15-day extension for filing objections against the seniority lists. Meanwhile, G. Hrudayaraju, President of APTF-1938, expressed happiness over the initiation of the promotion process.
