Mon Oct 28 02:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Khamenei’s Hebrew Twitter Account Suspended After Threatening Israel

**Tehran, Iran -** Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s newly created Hebrew language account on X (formerly Twitter) was suspended just one day after it was launched, amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel. The move comes after Khamenei issued a stark warning to Israel following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military targets.

Khamenei opened the account, @Khamenei_Heb, on Sunday, seemingly in a direct message to the Israeli public. The account was swiftly suspended by X for violating its rules, though the specific reason remains unclear.

The suspension occurred shortly after Khamenei threatened retaliation against Israel for the airstrikes, which killed four Iranian soldiers. He declared that Israel had “erred in its calculations on Iran” and vowed to demonstrate the “strength, ability, initiative, and will of the Iranian nation.”

The airstrikes, which targeted facilities in Tehran and surrounding areas on Saturday, were carried out in response to a barrage of rockets fired from Iran into Israel earlier this month.

While Iranian authorities initially downplayed the damage caused by the strikes, Khamenei insisted that the attack should not be minimized. He urged Iranian officials to determine the most effective way to demonstrate Iran’s power to Israel.

“The evil committed by the Zionist regime (Israel) two nights ago should neither be downplayed nor exaggerated,” Khamenei said. “They still haven’t been able to correctly understand the power, initiative, and determination of the Iranian people. We need to make them understand these things.”

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that the strikes had significantly damaged Iran’s defenses and missile production capabilities.

The suspension of Khamenei’s Hebrew account further highlights the increasingly strained relationship between Iran and Israel, with both sides engaging in escalating rhetoric and military actions.
