Mon Oct 28 00:39:39 UTC 2024: ## Jamshedpur Imposes Three-Day No Entry for Heavy Vehicles During Diwali Festivities

**Jamshedpur, October 27:** In a bid to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety during the upcoming Dhanteras and Diwali festivities, the Jamshedpur district administration has announced a three-day “no entry” rule for heavy vehicles.

The restrictions will come into effect on October 29th and 30th, from 3 PM to 1 AM, barring all heavy vehicles except buses from entering the district. On Diwali, October 31st, a 24-hour no entry will be implemented, prohibiting all heavy vehicles from entering from 6 AM on October 31st to 6 AM on November 1st.

The order, jointly issued by the Deputy Commissioner, SSP, and Traffic DSP, aims to ease congestion on the roads, particularly during peak hours. The decision follows the anticipation of a surge in traffic due to Diwali shopping, with crowds expected to throng markets in the afternoon hours on Dhanteras.

All police station in-charges and traffic police station in-charges have been informed about the order. Public announcements have also been made through loudspeakers to ensure widespread awareness.
