**New Delhi:** The upcoming festive season is expected to witness a significant surge in electronic product sales, with industry experts predicting a 30% rise compared to last year. The week leading up to Dhanteras is particularly expected to see a strong surge in offline sales.
The demand for premium products is expected to be high this season, with consumers willing to pay more for energy-efficient, high-capacity, and larger-sized appliances like TVs and refrigerators. Products incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT technology are also seeing increased interest.
This trend extends even to smaller cities, as observed by Sanjay Chitkara, Senior Vice President (Home Appliances) at LG Electronics India. “We’ve noticed a marked increase in demand for premium washing machines and refrigerators, especially in smaller towns. This is a very encouraging sign,” he stated.
The festive season is traditionally a peak period for electronic sales, with consumers taking advantage of promotional offers and new launches. This year, the trend towards premiumization and the growing preference for technology-driven products are expected to further fuel the sales growth.
