Sun Oct 27 08:59:21 UTC 2024: ## Rising Star Caoimhe Bray Joins Sydney Sixers for WBBL|10

**Sydney, Australia -** The Sydney Sixers have secured the services of highly-rated young cricketer Caoimhe Bray for the next three seasons, adding another exciting talent to their squad ahead of the upcoming Weber WBBL|10.

Bray, who only turned 15 in September, is already a seasoned campaigner despite her young age. Her exceptional talent was on full display last summer when she dominated the NSW Under 18 Brewer Shield, smashing a staggering 955 runs, including a double-century in the final.

The all-rounder also impressed in the recent Cricket Australia Under 19 tri-series, scoring a crucial 84 runs against New Zealand and claiming 4-20 with the ball.

Bray, a dual athlete who also excels in soccer as a goalkeeper for the CommBank Junior Matildas, is a rising star with the potential to become a future icon of the game.

“We are over the moon to have landed Caoimhe at the Sixers,” said Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes. “We’ve seen her growth through the NSW pathway and she slotted seamlessly into our group during the Spring Challenge. She’s an outstanding young player and a terrific person, keen to learn and grow.”

Bray, who will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best players in the world, is looking forward to her new chapter with the Sixers. “I’m excited to join the Sixers and can’t wait to get started,” said Bray. “The team has a great culture and I’m looking forward to learning from the experienced players and contributing to the team’s success.”

The Sixers will begin their WBBL|10 campaign on Sunday, facing the Melbourne Renegades in Adelaide. Fans can catch Bray and the Sixers in action at North Sydney Oval on October 29, November 1 and November 14, as well as at the SCG on Sunday, November 10.
