Thu Oct 17 23:02:24 UTC 2024: ## UGC NET Result 2024 Declared: Over 4900 Qualify for JRF
**New Delhi:** The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally released the much-awaited scorecards for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) conducted in June 2024. Candidates can now access their scorecards on the official NTA website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The results, which were delayed for over two months, have brought relief to countless candidates who were anxiously waiting for their scores. A total of 684,224 candidates appeared for the exam out of 1,121,225 registered applicants.
A total of 4,970 candidates have qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while 53,694 have qualified only for Assistant Professor and 1,12,070 have qualified only for PhD.
The delay in result declaration had sparked protests from students, who had launched social media campaigns demanding the scores. The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) had even written to the Education Minister, highlighting the difficulties faced by candidates due to the delay.
With the release of the June results, the NTA has already started preparations for the UGC NET December exam. The notification for the December session will be released soon on the NTA website, followed by the application process.
