**New Delhi, October 17, 2024:** The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the UGC NET June 2024 examination, with over 54,000 candidates qualifying for Assistant Professor positions. The results, along with subject-wise and category-wise cut-offs, are available on the official NTA website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The examination, held between August 21 and September 4, saw over 6.84 lakh candidates appearing across various cities. While 4,970 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), a significant number, 1,12,070, qualified for PhD only.

The NTA has also released the final answer keys for Manipuri, Sindhi, music, and performing arts, which were used to compile the results.

The UGC NET results will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration for admission to PhD programs. JRF-qualified candidates will be admitted into the PhD program based on an interview, while candidates qualified under the category-2 and category-3 can use their NET scores for admission to PhD programs at various universities and institutes.
